In the Magic Forest
With the arrival of Christmas great marvels wake up at Lenzerheide.
During two weeks, 40.000 visitors could discovered light and magic treasures hidden at the Lenzerheide forest.
To celebrate the 5th edition of Zauberwald, Projektil curated 10 pieces created by light artists from all over the world and produced other 3 for a total of 13 installations set all over Lenzerheide forest:
Dinamo plays with light and shadows as a conversation between nature and technology.
Silva makes trees shine to reinforce the importance of the forest. “Trees are obviously more reasonable than we are, they always strive for the light.”
Sternentor takes us on an intimate journey to that mystical place that some know as Agarta, Eden or Schangri-La.
Spore is an intertwined light sculpture, which towers high above the heads of the visitors.
Unterwegs is a shining tent village in the forest that symbolizes the idea of “being on the road”. Exploring the human need for security, adventure and freedom.
Irrlicht presents light creatures that wander in the air.
Im Gespräch mit den Naiaden introduces the visitor to the Naiads, the spirits of the rivers. They are young and beautiful and they love to dance and sing.
Fichtenwirbel is a spiral path, in which the flowing space of the forest is captured and directed inwards.
As creatures hide in the shades, Die Verstecke der Waldgestalten plays with light and shadow to bring to live fantastic creatures made of branches, moss and leaves.
Sternenritt are swings that invite to ride the light.
Die Waldgestalten – wie sie leben und lieben let you admire the hustle and bustle of all children of the forest.
Juladi puts the visitor in the centre spot and let them play in front of the screen.
Im Angesicht der Waldgestalten shows old fantastic creatures of the forest since their names are too long for human tongues.
Cubed Dream tricks the eye with layers and more layers to bring volume and depth.
